Since craftbukkit isn't complete yet I'd say it's safe to say your issues lie with that. You will need to filter on the 3XMTHREADINFO1 to find each java thread (from 3XMTHREADINFO lines) to find all the threads in the javacores. Once you stop the process that is using java, your CPU will work fine. A corollary is to provide time stamps if the tool lacks them. You can check if there are any other java processes running with: ps aux | grep java This searchs for any running process which has the string "java" on its command
